- The outcome of a Newton Fund Workshop that brought UK and Brazilian researchers together to develop an ecological manifesto for urban renaturing. Originality: It presents novel knowledge generated by a co-creation process that examined the synergies and contrasts of a developed and developing country's ecological approaches and challenges related to urban renaturing solutions. Rigour: Co-creation is an established methodological approach for developing integrative transformation. The article was rigorously blind peer-reviewed by the editors and external experts. Significance: As a synthesis of transnational knowledge, and exploration of a co-created approach to addressing barriers, the paper has national and international significance.
