- This article reflects on the work of the Spanish architect, Javier Sainz de Oiza, and his relationship with Basque sculptor, Jorge Oteiza. It relates back to the work of both artists between the 1950s and the 1970s, looking in particular at the monastery of Aranzazu where the two worked together, and the Museum Oteiza, which was the last project they collaborated on. The article focuses not just on their working together and their personal relationship, but also at how these two key projects demonstrate their influence on each other, and on architecture more broadly.
