- This paper was awarded the IEEE PES prize 2017. Out of more than 3000 journal papers published between 2016-2017 in the top five IEEE Transactions in the field, this paper was ranked top of two in the final. The research was validated through the Customer Load Active Service System (CLASS) project site trials, and rolled out to 260 substations across the North West in 2017. The rollout of the CLASS project has already delivered a measurable saving of 2.7m for Electricity North West Ltd (ENWL) and its customers in 2019 [contact: Director, C&C Electrical solutions, ENWL].
