- The major shortcoming of FRP based retrofitting solutions, the premature debonding under cyclic loads such as earthquake, is overcome by introducing an effective anchorage system. This solution can be safely adopted in retrofitting of vulnerable reinforced concrete structures located in earthquake prone zones. This research work is a result of collaboration between K. N. Toosi University of Technology of Tehran, International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology of Iran and Greenwich University.
