- Exploring innovative MIMO antennas architectures for future 5G mobile handsets to enhance system capacity, reduce hand coupling affects and promote good coverage reception are critical issues towards realising the next generation of mobile and wireless communications. The new results presented are useful in designing miniaturised antenna radiators with dual-polarized characteristic. This work is funded by the Horizon 2016 research and innovation programme under grant agreement H2020-MSCA-ITN-2016 SECRET-722424 (€3.2m: UoB share: €545k). The new design concept was cited 80 times over one year and provides part of Naser's PhD thesis.
