- The objective of this collaborative work was to produce novel biodegradable polymeric controlled released system of pesticides. This paper is significant because it shows the development of environmentally friendly, potentially weather-resistant systems, which should allow controlled delivery of selective herbicides, thereby prolonging and improving the efficiency of those herbicides. The manufacturers of agricultural mulch films would be the immediate beneficiaries of this research. This research was recently included in The Handbook of Polyhydroxyalkanoates (ISBN 9780367275662).
