- Additional information
- Two chapters are based on material submitted to previous REFs. Chapter 2 is based on ‘Understanding Schoenberg as Christ’, submitted to REF2014, and Chapter 3 is based on ‘Otto Weininger and musical discourse’, submitted to RAE2008. A very small portion of chapter 4 appeared in ‘Schoenberg’s early Wagnerisms’, submitted to RAE1996, but is substantially altered here owing to new historical and archival research. The rest of the 259-page book (Introduction; Chapters 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8) is entirely new.
