- The research reported in this paper, funded by EPSRC, has led to the development of novel decellularised meniscal repair scaffolds and a new product whose clinical trial started in 2016 with the first phase now successfully completed. The product is licenced to Tissue Regenix, UK (Martin Galfe, m.galfe@tissueregenix.com; Mike Izon, m.izon@tissueregenix.com). This research and collaboration resulted in the renewal of the EPSRC Medical Technologies IKC in Regenerative Devices, 2015 to 2021 £3m (EP/N00941X/1).
