- Highly cited paper proposes a new transmission framework in heterogeneous networks that uses Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access in small cells. This is core material for Liu’s new investigator award (EP/T031190/1, under review). This paper led to an industry grant (Huawei) of Liu’s, namely “multi-cell NOMA” (£ 130k, 2020), contributes to Nallanathan's EPSRC grant (EP/R006466/1, £ 323k, 2018). This was core material for Liu’s Tutorials at IEEE VTC2018 (30+ attendance), IEEE ICCC2018 (50+ attendance), IEEE Globecom2019 (20+ attendance), invited course-2018 at Beijing Jiaotong University (30+ attendance). This is core material for Liu’s Book “Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access for massive connectivity”, Springer, 2020 (https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007%2F978-3-030-30975-6).
