- This empirical paper describes the first application of behavioural evidence analysis into digital forensic investigation. An outcome of the work is the Behavioural Digital Forensics Model which adds value to in-lab-investigations of devices showing improved performance which is essential as digital crimes rise exponentially. One novelty of the work is that the model was based on real cases from the Dubai police department’s digital forensic lab. The findings from the paper have been included in the Interpol Digital Forensics Review.
