- This paper led to a major collaboration with the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China, resulting in further research output, including a review paper of the existing straw bale buildings in China, the development of prefabricated straw bale constructions meeting the standard in China for high-rise residential building, and a demonstration of significant improvements in energy performance of new residential buildings.
