- Additional information
- Developed a solvent-induced-crystallisation method using a novel solvent system which facilitated the easy entry of antimicrobial neem (Azadarichtaindica) biopolymer molecules into the compact structure of polyester fabrics to impart antimicrobial activity. The neem-solvent-induced-polymer modified fabrics are highly effective against disease causing S. aureus and E. coli bacteria. The study also signifies the use of natural antimicrobial agents against infectious diseases/cross-infection caused through fabrics
