- This international collaborative (China, Iraq and UK) research represents one of the first few works to obtain accurate rain parameters in different parts of NW Europe. The use of rain gauge data to validate rain radar measurements means that models with good accuracies for most of Europe were not available. A database of the rain parameters has been created, is available to telecommunication, and environmental scientists and engineers to obtain rain parameters for NW Europe. British Atmospheric Data Centre(BADC) and the British Met Office have provided an access to NIMROD rain radar data to create this rain parameters database.
