- This paper was published in a high impact journal (6.7), resulting in a funded PhD studentship (Institute of Healthcare Engineering:UCL, 2019). This research was invited for presentation at the CRUK City of London 3D models group meeting, and subsequently invited to join a project looking to compare different cancer models(CRUK funded). There has been continued interest by LONZA biologics(Industry partner), who invited a discussion piece on their blog (https://bioscience.lonza.com/lonza_bs/CH/en/3d-model-of-colorectal-tumouroids). Additionally, LONZA Biologics funded the launch of the new Centre for 3D models of Health and Disease at UCL (headed by the lead author), in recognition of the paradigm shifting research.
