- A proteomic/bioinformatic study of the joint environment identifying protein profiles predictive of long-term surgical outcome. Won first prize oral presentation at the ‘Cutting Edge Osteoarthritis’ meeting (Oxford, 2017) and highlighted at the Osteoarthritis Research Society International world congress (Las Vegas, 2017). Selected for dissemination at the public engagement/policymaking STEM for Britain meeting (House of Commons, 2018) and reviewed at the International Cartilage Regeneration and Joint Preservation Society meeting (Vancouver, 2019). The study has supported MRC Biomedical Catalyst (MR/S015167/1 2019) and DPFS (MR/V027670/1 2020) grants and was instrumental in the senior author‘s career progression (from research fellow to senior lecturer).
