- This monograph is, at the time of research, the first comprehensive study of the Art of Living Foundation (AOLF), relying purely on significant volumes of single-handedly collected data. The research involved extensive fieldwork in India, Germany, and the UK, comprising participant observation in many of AOLF’s events and courses. It included over 40 semi-structured, and numerous unstructured interviews. The research also incorporated analysis of AOLF’s use of social media (Twitter feeds, Facebook pages, Google Hangouts events). The monograph thus contains a vast amount of new, qualitative data, which is an influential contribution to this area of research.
