- This research is in collaboration with the UK Home Office, the Centre for Applied Science and Technology, which guides technical delivery of forensic science in the UK. This is operation-critical work developing a formulation of powder suspension for latent fingerprint development, crucial to maintaining operational capability with disruption to supply chains and new regulations. This work has now been released to police forces and forensic providers. This research is also part of the underpinning validation to achieve accreditation of laboratories to ISO standards, required by the Forensic Science Regulator for ensuring quality across the sector.
