- This paper is a first step toward the definition of a viable and novel solution of synchronous reluctance machines with improved performance. The proposed motor performs enhanced torque and efficiency with respect to conventional reluctance machines. This has led to a collaboration with Nidec Global Appliance Division (contact: Nicola Trivillin) to develop a concept of motor to step up the efficiency class of their components for household appliances.
