- The paper explores the problems associated with the conceptualisation of the domestic sphere within the dichotomous context of gender analysis in the example of medieval village life. It also questions the pertinence of a spatial analysis of men and women’s activities in the villages of medieval England based on seigneurial court records.<br/>
