- For the first time in the design of D2D-assisted content offloading, this paper addressed human user behaviours, including users’ content preferences and sharing willingness, and was published in an IEEE special issue on an interdisciplinary topic - Human-in-the-Loop Mobile Networks. The proposed approach and results attracted the interest of operators and were used in the EU project iCIRRUS (with the Total amount of award € 3,832,197) by Telekom Slovenije, to build a business model and to evaluate the benefits of D2D communications in cellular networks. The user behaviour evaluation was reported in Chapter 6.1 of an iCIRRUS deliverable (http://www.icirrus-5gnet.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/D23_final-submitted.pdf).
