- This monograph offers an in-depth, multi-layered empirical study of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, assessing its impact on inter-ethnic reconciliation. Adopting a rigorous comparative approach, it draws on extensive fieldwork – conducted over a five-year period and including hard-to-reach informants and other sources – in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Kosovo. The data is analysed within the framework of a three-pronged original model developed to assess the impact of tribunals on reconciliation.
