- This is a substantial monograph of 130,000 words based on over twenty public archives, private collections, and a rich range of other primary sources (including site visits, oral history and unconventional and creative materials such as art, music and film) from many different countries. It is an ambitious book - the first to place journeys linked to the Holocaust into a wider context of forced migration from the late nineteenth to the early twenty first century. It is a truly pioneer and complex study with a global remit which opens up a dialogue between Holocaust studies and forced migration studies.
