- This book explores the relationship between digital labour and digital pornographic culture, arguing for the significance of online pornography to understanding digital economics and contemporary labour discourse. The book required multiple economic theories – attentional, affective, informational and manual forms of productivity and accumulation – to be explained for an interdisciplinary audience of digital humanities, economics, media and culture scholars. The digital focus of the book required the collection and analysis of a large body of online material from: social media platforms; user-generated sites; discussion forums; blogs and vlogs; and the analysis of approximately two-hundred films and parafilmic content.
