- Author contribution statement
- Crain (second author) made fundamental contributions to the paper and the EAGLE project on which it is based. He was one of six “builders” of the project, writing much of its software, leading the calibration of the model (which involved running and analysing several hundred development simulations), and executing the project’s production simulations on Tier-1/0 supercomputers. He performed the majority of the analyses presented in the paper, and made significant contributions to drafting and editing the manuscript text.
