- The first investigation of full-duplex relaying protocols, this paper introduces a comprehensive mathematical framework for average error-probability, instantaneous achievable rate, quality of self-interference cancellation required for FD transmission and evaluation of relay selection policies. This work formed the basis for a Consolidator Laureate award from the Irish Research Council on “Sparse Signaling with Message-Passing Recovery for Coded Multiuser Massive MIMO Communications” (http://research.ie/awardees/, Flanagan, 2018 ).
