- This volume examines how the elite sports and Olympic industries were transformed by digital technology. Drawing on data from 9 Olympic Games and spanning 15 years of research, it provides a comprehensive critical analysis of the rise of citizen journalism, esports and social media within the traditional sports environment. As such, it is a complex piece of research presenting critical arguments that are informed by the collection of extensive primary data. The book was translated and published in Japanese in 2019.
