- This book is the culmination of empirical research conducted several years as part of two separate AHRC grants secured by the authors in 2015 and 2017 (AH/M011348/1 and AH/R005591/1). It is also informed by Noonan’s 2014 'Strategic Insight Partnership’ award and a secondment to the Øresund Film Commission in Copenhagen. Its analysis is underpinned by interviews with senior TV executives and independent production companies in the UK, Ireland and Denmark. It also draws on data from three workshops which included 63 industry and academic participants from 12 countries. Each chapter is the equal work of the authors.
