- Frohmaier led the work on estimating the volumetric rate of electromagnetic counterparts to neutron star-neutron star mergers in the Palomar Transient Factory (PTF) survey data. Frohmaier was responsible for adapting the light curve model and simulating events in the PTF survey. Frohmaier also conducted a search in the PTF archival database for any kilonova-like candidates. The draft of the paper was written by Kasliwal with input from Frohmaier throughout the writing and submission process. The results of this research are presented in the final section of the paper, with a detailed description of the method in the supplementary information.
