- Supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, this paper shows how a THz TDS system can be modified with the use of an ultra-broadband THz polarizer combined with the duplication of the detection chain of a standard THz TDS system for use in polarimetry studies. This novel modification has broad reach for studies of optical activity, polarization converters, circular dichroism and other properties of polarization sensitive materials and can provide faster and more accurate measurement on polarization spectroscopy of the anisotropic dielectric materials. This will have use in wideranging material properties tests in chemical, physical, pharmaceutical and biochemical fields.
