- This article looks at the place of European Union law and its values in the debate on Catalonia’s independence, where each side seeks to present itself as the only truly Europeanist one. The analysis of this debate reveals the transformations carried out by the latter as well as its internal contradictions. The article focuses on the notion of the rule of law, an omnipresent reference in the debates in Catalonia at a time when it is becoming increasingly important for the Union. The article is written in French; it includes an English language abstract
