- Gao supervised this project funded by the competitive China Scholarship Council (Ref: 201206840032) won by Wan to carry out PhD study in the UK for 2 years. Wan participated a large collaborative project funded by EU Interreg Programme (Ref 4177) involving many companies in UK and France and the results were included in the final project report. The rest of the PhD research was carried out in China in collaboration with local companies. Therefore, the research outcomes have been timely disseminated widely in both EU and Chinese manufacturing companies.
