- Double-weighted statement
- This output represents a research effort sustained over many years rather than reporting on a discrete project. It draws on research all three authors have conducted, in particular on rural labour markets, poverty, and industrial policy. This lengthy research experience, combined with the direct policy experience of one author and years of policy advisory work by the other two authors, together with the digestion and analysis of a large body of inter-disciplinary material (historical evidence, comparative evidence, official datasets, recent research in economics, health and demography, etc.), underpins the presentation of critical insights in this book.
