- Double-weighted statement
- This monograph meets the criteria for double weighting. It is grounded in a large body of extended and difficult to access primary source material, such as seafarer interviews, gathered over a period of five years. It offers a multi-layered and critical insight into the complex phenomena of maritime piracy in different contexts. Through a creative mix of qualitative and quantitative research methods, the investigation is of considerable depth from different perspectives, and generates new classifications and concepts.
