- Double-weighted statement
- Double-weighting is requested on the following grounds. This is a book-length study of over 80,000 words. It is an extended, complex piece of research, presented on a genuinely global canvas, taking in Latin America, colonial Australia, the Caribbean, North America and Europe. The book is the result of a very substantial research programme across the 2010s, involving collaboration with partners in Australia, Chile, and Scandinavia, and drawing upon funding from the ESRC and the Leverhulme Trust.
