- This volume is based on extensive archival work over a 3-year period and offers new documentary evidence in the form of 48 letters, amounting to nearly 400 pages, which have never been edited or made public in any way until now. The 100-page introduction explores the dialogue between this correspondence and Guilarte’s and Mistral’s own journalistic articles, many of them of difficult access, shedding new light on the difficult processes of integration for Spanish Republicans exiles, both in Mexico and upon their return to Spain in the late 1960s and 1970s.
