- This work was carried out in a PhD project associated with the Dot.Rural RCUK Digital Economies Hub. The significance of this work is that it is the first work to shift the focus of research addressing the problem of social isolation among older adults from a top-down confrontational approach to the use of persuasion-based approach that respects the individual freedom of the older adult.
