- The algorithms reported form part of the embedded software integrated into the Sussex MK4 Electrical impedance mammography (EIM) machine, which we constructed and used in clinical trials (John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford 0300304777). The novel algorithms operate on electrode array sensed voltages to create a 3D image of the breast. The article demonstrates that the EIM system successfully detects tumours. This system is now being commercialised in China and will result in a non-invasive breast cancer detection product. Micro Image Biotech Limited – CEO Dr Wang – 07871788880. It could replace x-Ray Mammography and provide a screening service in GP’s surgeries.
