- Goad provided expertise in photoionization modelling of the broad emission-line region and continuum reprocessing. He led coordinated ground-based observations, and broad band ugriz photometry presented in Figure 2. He provided photoionization modelling expertise which predicted the newly discovered U-band excess and its interpretation, and used emission-line region constraints to estimate the likely DC continuum contribution to the delay signature. Gave critical feedback on draft version of the paper, and in particular those sections relating to the broad line region contributions, diffuse continuum, presence of U-band excess and Balmer and Paschen jumps, and subsequent fits to diffuse continuum delays (Section 4).
