- Double-weighted statement
- This book is a substantive monograph of 338 pages and more than 100,000 words. It is based on extended and complex research over four years, including 14 months of multi-sited fieldwork in Spain, Morocco, Senegal and Mali. This research further involved using extended, complex and often difficult-to-access primary material, given the sensitive nature of border control and given the monograph’s scalar reach across the perspectives of migrants, border guards, aid workers and other groups.
