- This paper reports on the development of a low-cost cervical cancer screening system (http://papsai.com/) for use in developing countries, partly funded by the African Development Fund (HEST). The research has been presented at several international events. Eg it was selected as one of 30 innovative technologies (from 2471 applications) for presentation at the World Health Organization, Africa Health Innovation Forum, Cape Verde 2019. The innovation was also selected for presentation at the Commonwealth Health Ministers meeting in Geneva 2019 and selected among the four finalists of the Africa Engineering Innovation Award 2020 awarded by the Royal Academy of Engineering.
