- Double-weighted statement
- The research evolved over a 10-year aviation heritage project to reconstruct the only complete replica Airspeed Horsa glider in the world now on display at the Overloon War Museum in the Netherlands. The research utilises extensive scientific primary source produced by the Airborne Forces Experimental Establishment and reveals the complex nature of development of British airborne warfare from a technological perspective for the very first time. Consequently, the work has major significance in the wider history of the Second World War by challenging the inter-relationship between operational research and operational deployment of airborne capabilities.
