- The paper was awarded the ASME Aircraft Engine Best Paper Award 2014 and the research led to Cambridge leading the fan design and test component of EU H2020 project 723242, CENTRELINE with value €3.7M (contact details available). The dataset made available in the paper has been used in further research by MIT (doi: 10.1115/1.4035631) and the University of Windsor (doi: 10.1115/1.4039433). The research in the paper also led to a PhD funded by Rolls-Royce plc and EPSRC on the subject of “Distortion Tolerant Fans”.
