- This book is the culmination of the author’s AHRC-funded postdoctoral fellowship on the ‘Conversion Narratives in Early Modern Europe’ project at the University of York (2010-13). It represents a major contribution to the field of early modern conversion studies and is of importance for the disciplines of literature and history. The book necessitated extensive archival research in both the UK and US and brings together, for the first time, analysis of a large volume of conversion narratives from a range of religious perspectives from the period 1580-1660.
