- Double-weighted statement
- The monograph is based on research conducted over a 17-year period. This cross-disciplinary text provides a comprehensive analysis of five case studies across historical and contemporary contexts. Individual chapters draw on empirical research carried out as part of my doctoral thesis as well as archival testimony research. The former was based on qualitative interviews with hard-to-reach populations in rural North Wales. The latter involved accessing the USC Shoah Foundation's Visual History Archive. Accessing these primary sources was difficult. Only 5 UK institutions have access. At the time of the research only one was accessible. Access was granted following an application.
