- The work described here was one of the key components for a FP7 European Project, Service Oriented Operating System (FP7-ICT-2009.8.1 Grant-No.248465, value: €2.94m) aimed to generate the world-first reference model for the distributed operating systems dealing with high scalability/heterogeneity issues of large scale many-core enabled environments. It was a 3-year collaboration between 7 European academic/industry partners. The project led to a number of successor European Projects and collaborations by partners including MyThOs Modular Operating System for Massively Parallel Applications and POLCA Programming Large Scale Heterogeneous Infrastructures (3 years, funded by FP7, value: €4.17m).
