- This paper deals with the novel development and characterisation of low-weight air-breathing Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) stack. The design is based on a patent (US9444117B2) developed by the same research group. The proposed stack has reduced weight and size compared to the traditional PEMFC available in the market and therefore it is very attractive for powering small portable devices such as tablets and laptops as well as drones.
