- The paper introduces a verifiable privacy-preserving outsourced attribute-based signcryption scheme to support access policy update without ciphertext re-signcryption. PROUD is the first authenticated delegation process based on Attribute-based SignCryption schemes: it ensures outsourcing of the designcryption algorithm to Semi-Trusted Edge Servers, enabling partial processing of the signcrypted data and result forwarding to the requesting user. Its features can be applied in dynamic environments, mainly with the emergence of next generation networks that require efficient adding/removing users while ensuring low storage and computation, suiting resource-constrained end-users, such as in vehicular networks, e- health and Publish and Subscribe (Pub/Sub) systems.
