- Double-weighted statement
- This short (157 pages) book presents a novel theory of the difference that being conscious of the nature of our actions makes to our moral responsibility for them. Despite its brevity, it is ambitious and represents the culmination of a decade’s research, both in the philosophy of action and in cognitive science. It builds on a number of previously published papers, and includes some paragraphs drawn from four papers published between 2011 and 2014. However, this material constitutes less than 10% of the monograph and the theory presented is new.
