- This paper describes novel routing and scheduling algorithms for a futuristic IoT network with significant improvements in energy efficiency and network lifetime compared with state-of-the-art techniques. An extensive simulation study is carried out for a real time IoT network which demonstrates the superiority of the scheme. This work led to further journal articles and two successful Innovate UK funding knowledge transfer partnerships (KTP 12228 with Packaging Automation Limited rui.cardadeiro@pal.co.uk and KTP11025 with Velden Engineering alison@velden.co.uk)
