- The paper was awarded a Best Paper Award at ICSE 2017. A demonstration of the work also received the Best Demonstration Award at ICST 2017. The paper introduces Code Defenders and demonstrates empirically that it leads to more effective software testing in crowdsourcing and educational scenarios. Code Defenders has been adopted by a number of international institutions to support their software testing education practice, e.g., University of Sheffield (McMinn, UK), University of Massachusetts and George Mason University (Offutt and Ammann, USA), Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (Yoo) (South Korea), Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) and Passau University (Germany).
